Ideas for Money Wisdom #7

💡 Our savings can also be "nested" - putting small goals inside one big goal, exactly like Matryoshka dolls that go inside one another.

For example:
Want to save ₪300 for a big toy? That can feel far away and impossible. But if you "nest" the big goal inside small daily goals - putting ₪10 aside every day - after 30 days, without even noticing, you already have ₪300.

Every big goal can be broken down into small goals that nest inside it, day after day.

The smaller and clearer the goal, the easier it is to stick to it every day - and all the small goals together build the big goal.

Ready for a challenge? We've prepared some extra challenges for you to try

Try checking together. Take a few boxes or cups of different sizes, and see how much space they take up nested inside each other, compared to placed side by side.

Easy
1. Check together how many small toys fit inside one big box, compared to if they were scattered around the room.
2. Ask your child: which two things at home could go one inside the other.

A bit of a stretch
3. Choose a big goal they want to save toward together, and break it down into several smaller goals that nest inside it.
4. Check how long it takes to tidy a drawer when things are nested, compared to when they're scattered with no order.

Challenge for champions
5. Ask your child to design a new package that has several layers, with each layer holding a smaller surprise inside.
6. Try together to think of a familiar product and imagine a version of it that folds up or fits inside itself, to take up less space.
