Ideas for Money Wisdom #24
💡 A bridge doesn't lower us into the river - it gives us a safe way to cross over it.
A separate savings account works the same way: it "mediates" between our money and the temptation to spend it right away.
For example:
Money sitting in your wallet is easy to spend impulsively.
But money that's put in a separate box, one that you don't open every day and that requires you to "go through" a conscious decision to reach, stops us for a moment before we spend it by mistake.
A good mediator doesn't block us from our own money - it just adds a moment of thought before we use it.
